It states a 10ft 6 or 7 weight is all you'll need. Unless its howling a gale.

In most conditions I fish a 10ft 8 weight and find it does the job. Except last week when something monstrous took hold, let go and left me with a very sore shoulder .

Thank you for that I'm still toying with a spinning rod at the moment it's a cheaper option.. As as soon as Feb arrives it will be put in the cupboard and my lough fishing begins. But thank you Euan.
