It is possible that the reason it was not there when the rest left was because it was locked in somewhere till the following morning, this happens a lot, lots of farms near by and they go in and feed near animals, heat and flies, then get stuck, I have had a few locked in here also, found dead later.
They don't come into the house much, only that one, the wrens used to specialise in burglary.
The others left more than a fortnight ago, most fledged that morning, this one arrived back after the others left and has been hanging around ever since always alone, it's like something instinctive is not kicking in, others have come and gone presumably stopping off en route but it doesn't join them,
Found out yesterday if I do a quick swallow like tutting sound through my teeth it answers, never seen that before.
