Off up there on a trip. Wondered if there was one spot better than another? Don't give me your secret spot, not asking for it, just perhaps somewhere well known where you have a chance. Thanks.

Hi there ,
Quite a lot on the sea angling sites. The Whitby Anglers site has a few reports from Luce bay.The area south of Dalbeatie and around Kirkcudbright seem popular for bass .Crab in the coloured water. For fly fishing I would look for gullies in rock and sand and a couple of low water scouting trips.Have you tried giving the local tackle shops and clubs a ring?
Good luck
RK.

Warren, if fly fishing the area where River Cree hits estuary, from Creetown to Palnure is worth a look at low tide.

Will depend where you are staying though, is a fair haul from dumfries, around 40 miles, an hours travel on the coast road.
