Felt soles came off my wading shoe the other night on the river. As I soon found out, without the felt, it was like walking on a 3-D ice rink! The exposed shoe sole is smooth rubbery material. I cleaned it up with wire brush and did the same to the felt soles. Now ready to apply the glue. What would you recommend? (These shoes are always used in the same river or in saltwater so no issue of transporting organisms from one river to another). Thank you ahead of time for any help!

My mate tried em all and...one of the more specialised silicon glues for bathrooms from bandq 10er did the job. Similar to what Mr trout has said.

I used to rate aquasure but he tried it twice and it lasted a bit still came off after 5-6 trips. Latest stuff is lasting and no signs of any movement from the soles separating.

Ps though gorrila glue was actually soluble in water? Pretty surely my mate tried it and expends OK but didn't last...

MS11 - great stuff.
I used it to put new felt soles on an old pair of boots - worked brilliantly , the soles stayed on untill the boots wore out.
