Important information about Blithfield & Covid-19

Here at Blithfield we are taking the current, fast-moving situation regarding Covid-19 very seriously and we would like all our visitors to do the same.
We remain open for business and the risk to anglers once out fishing is minimal but there are precautions we all need to take.
  • Please wash your hands thoroughly and frequently with soap and water and where this is not available please use hand sanitiser. We don’t have stocks of sanitiser so please bring your own with you.
  • Use a disposable tissue to cough or sneeze into and bin it immediately after use.
  • Please do not visit us if you have developed a persistent dry cough, a sore throat or a fever (a temperature higher than 37.8C/100F) - stay at home until you are well.
Some anglers will have underlying health conditions or will be vulnerable to the virus. This includes those with Diabetes, COPD and lung conditions, Asthma, cancer and compromised heart function. If you are over 60 years old and suffer from any of these the advice from Public Health England & the W.H.O. is to take extra precautions and to minimise social contact wherever possible.
Please do not call in to the office or to the angler’s lounge in the Boat House if you have any of the symptoms, even if they are mild. Please also avoid gathering together inside even in small groups.
We appreciate that this is an unprecedented situation and that for the next 12 weeks or so our lives will be disrupted but please be sensible, respect others and enjoy fly fishing safely.
Thank you all for your support and co-operation
