I saw on fbk, directly from Mick Bell is stopping work on April 1st, as Bloke has been or is up for sale.

Yes great rods and a very nice man. Probably closing down because they can't pay their phone bill! He doesn't do short phone calls. Hope it works out and I wish them all the best.

What's he after for the business? With it's reputation and the suppliers in place I'd've thought someone would take his hand off.

Echo those comments. Mick is a thoroughly reputable guy, sold decent rods at very good prices with a no quibble replacement policy. I broke a top section of my XL50 when I hit it with a gold head, I contacted Mick prepared to buy a new section as it was my fault, he sent one FOC.

I suspect that difficulties with getting to his Chinese suppliers during Covid may not have helped.

Just bought a used Xl50 9' #6 on Ebay. Had a 9' #7 years ago and regretted selling it since. It'll be interesting to compare the #6 Bloke with my 9'6" #6 Sage One.
