Is anyone a member of the Carron? Im thinking about joining it & was wondering if its worth the £350 a year membership. I mostly fish dry flys from the bank.
Whats the stocking policy? I will probably pop up & see Jimmy that runs it but was hoping to get some unbias info. Cheers

Not fished Carron Valley in years but I did fish it from the bank and mostly a dry fly late in the day or evening, only ever fished the roadside bank, bays are mostly shallow and slim pickings unless you wade way out, when the water is low there is a sandbar, more of a rock bar you can get out to deeper water, it's off the jutty out bit bout a quarter of the way down the roadside, takes you out a good way and into deeper water and bigger fish.

I personally wouldn't pay £350 to fish it from the bank but that was then.

I think the membership is £330 now and £10 for each boat trip. The water levels have remained high all year and the fish are tight into the bank so excellent sport close in for both boat and bank. I never fished much this year due to a health complication but I know it’s fished great from chatting with Jimmy and the other members. My mate Chris Brennan (Spriggeydewey) knows the bank better than anyone so he’s worth a chat on here or social media for info. I personally think £330 is an absolute steal for what your getting, split that down into what u would pay on day tickets elsewhere and your saving a fortune.
Hope this helps, tight lines 🎣
