I'm not sure, but I think the chap at fly only did tuition, if not they'll be able to recommend someone. I must be getting old as I can't remember his name

One of the instructors on the mill lodge behind Fly Only was Neil Trulove , the owner of the 3 Acres hotel just up the way from fly only . The shop will organise .

I’d also recommend Mal Hunter - https://www.fly-fish-yorkshire.co.uk/
Nice guy , good instructor, and he can teach you on a fishing water so that you appreciate why you are using the techniques he’s teaching you .

Cheers Hagstock, Mal Hunter looks a good bet. I’m going to give him a call and see what he can do for me.

Thanks for that.

Not being able to cast confidently is starting to ruin the odd days out I’m able to get.

You’re a star!

Thank you (y) I could see his face but couldn't put a name to it.

Its a pity they stopped with the open days, they had some good folk who showed people the ropes with both tying and casting, I used to spend quite a bit there and at the butchers.

I’ve been in touch with Malcolm and going to have some lessons in the new year.
Thanks for the recommendation!
