Improved CDC Ant is very similar but much more buoyant version of my CDC ant.
As previous version, this one has some trigger points: shape, shiny wings and movement that it gets from CDC. Being scruffy makes it only better in this case.
I fish it both as a dry and wet.... As dry i use it most of the time, as wet when fish comes to the dry and turns away...

Hope you liked this video

Cheers and keep safe

Vladimir

@dgp @Vermontdrifter @webblade
Thank you guys
Vermont, I'd use that black cdc in cdc&elk pattern.... I had few while fishing for lenok in Mongolia, they did very well. Plus large black ants were around.

Hey Oholi;

The problem with the cdc isn’t the color, it’s the way it was dyed. They must have got the dye proportions wrong as it is just clumped together and literally has little gobs of black dye hanging off of it. JMC rods are high quality but have learned to stay far away from their tying materials as they tend to be expensive and poor quality.

Good to know that. I also saw a lot of competitive fisherman using their rods.
