Just had a back to basics lesson from Chris; I really should do it every year. Within literally a few minutes, I was putting far more line out with a fraction of the effort. Given that I've tendonitis in my shoulder, this was quite important - after watching my first few casts his comment was "I bet you're tired at the end of the day". And of course he was right.
At the start, I'd told him that although I could single haul, I had never got the hang of the double haul and I'd be booking a second lesson. However, after adjusting my basic cast he went straight on to the double haul and had me doing it perfectly adequately in a matter of minutes.

He's good fun is Chris and what I like most is that he keeps it simple.

For the price of a pint and a curry at your local curry house, it's a no brainer.

Nice to hear you're getting helpful tuition Bill and clearly fishing. I have heard you will be a Ladybower on 22 April is this fact or a rumor spread by the Blue Licer?

I wish I could find an instructor for the price of a pint and a curry. :D

Well, I assumed that you would be taking your wife or significant other and having a second pint and a few poppadums and finishing up with a Tia Maria.

Yes, Alban I shall be there spreading joy and sunshine as is my wont (pronounced "wunt", very useful when writing limericks)

Right, better get off this place before I trigger another warning for upsetting the milk monitors or being a total a@seh0le or something.
