Went out with the camera yesterday to look for autumn colours. Didn't have far to look. All the below shot in just over 1 hr, walking round the cycle path and local park...

All shot with 100-400 mm f4.5-5.6 IS lens.

Lovely set showing off the autumn colours there Col, but need to watch yourself, that little girl in pic 5 is saying to her mum, "There a guy over there taking our picture" and then peering over a fence for a photo of an elderly woman, geeso. :giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle:

For sure - I'm aware of the need for model release forms. All they have to do is contact me and I'll be happy to get them to sign one. (y)

(That goes for the magpies too! 😜 )

The other thing I would add is that, at the distance you are when shooting at 400 mm focal length, neither of them would have had the foggiest I was there. Even the blonde jogger was totally unaware of me. I would add that I am very careful about taking any photos involving kids, for obvious reasons.

How many times a day does someone in the public gaze get their photo taken by Joe Public, who then posts it on social media without gaining written permission? Nicola Sturgeon, for example...

If there is nothing untoward about them, and you are not looking to make any gain from them...

Very true Col, folk get there photo taken often without their consent, its a sad situation now when certain people think your up to no good, once had a barny with a guy who had a Harris Hawk that he let off to fly, it landed in a tree in front of me, so I took a photo off it, he then came thundering up to me asking what I was thinking of doing, he soon got telt to #### off.
probably never had any right to hunt on the ground in the first place.

That was probably behind his behaviour. He'd be kakking himself that you were going to report him and were getting photographic evidence...
