Without wanting to appear to be a doubting Thomas - thats Bo!!ox;)
Having looked into it further...

Only two creatures with pharyngeal jaws of the type in question...

1) Moray eels

2) The Alien

Q: Which came first?

A; Moray eel

Where did Ridley Scott and HR Giger get the idea for the Alien's pharyngeal jaws?

If I was a moray eel and watched 'Alien', I'd be studying the credits for mention of where the pharyngeal jaws came from and be on the phone to my lawyer...

So, where did they get the idea for the pharyngeal jaws?
That's why there called ideas! Some people actually have imaginations you know, we'd still be sat in caves trying to light fires if they didn't, you'll be claiming next that Edison based the electric light bulb on an angler fishes esca (look it up);) ! My 10 year old draws some strange monsters - I'm quite sure they aren't all based on things that hes seen in nature - I'm worried if they are😱

Chill man, in the words of Vic and Bob, let it lie.
