I thought I'd compile a list of rod building suppliers currently serving the market, focusing on Europe and principally fly gear.
An issue I've often found is that, if you have a specific design in mind it's rare that you find all the bits you need in one shop and this increases costs and waiting time. Hopefully, this list will widen our choices and maybe cut p&p charges. I'm sure I'll omit many vendors so please post and I'll revise the list accordingly.
I haven't bought from all of them so 'buyer beware' as always.

This threads been a great resource in trying to find parts but does it need to change given the change in trading arrangements with Europe?
Seems to me that there isn't much difference now where we buy from if its outside the UK.

I thought it a bit arrogant if I asked so I just bookmarked it, Simon. But that only helps me, doesn't it?
Why don't you pm Kirsty or Ard and suggest it? I'll keep updating when anything new is brought to light.

Any joy sourcing decent culms yet?

Keep well,
James.
I've asked Kirsty to pin it James. No luck with culms I'm afraid, looks like I've got bamboo for four more rods then that's it for the duration. There is a guy who bought some of Chapmans milling equipment when Brian retired who is supposed to be selling off culms but I can't locate him.
Stay safe,

Simon.

I've seen a new supplier on Etsy - 'Fortitude Rod Co.'
There are some very bonny wooden inserts and custom-built cork handles as well as 'Union' rod blanks and other hardware, plus PacBay threads. The blanks come with a custom decal which is a major bonus in my eyes.
It's all trout/grayling s-h at present but here's (selfishly) hoping the range expands into d-h blanks and grips at some time in the future. The blanks are offered in various tasteful colours but 'Union' is new to me. If anyone has any info or gives them a go, please share on the forum.

Nice to see another option in the UK what with all the ?????s over import duty we've had since leaving the E.U.

Looks like Mark at Taniwha might be leaving Etsy, no glass banks when I visited his Etsy shop. Good news is that it looks like he has set up a dedicated website now https://www.taniwharodworks.com/ which includes what looks like a v2 of his nano helix carbon blanks.

Etsy is a complete joke to work with and only a few weeks till I say goodbye to the useless platform too

I thought I'd express my thanks to Tackle24.de from whom I recently received a very large order - 40 different bits and bobs and well over one hundred pieces of this or that - all of which arrived this week, about 10 days after ordering. P&P was a very reasonable E12.50. I've bought the hardware for seven rods and, happily, Tackle24 were pretty much a one-shop-stop. A big relief when many stores seem to have limited supplies these days.
That's the second time I've placed a big order with them and both times they've been spot on.

Of course, I missed a few guides off the order (dumb!) so completed my shopping list with Taniwha, who posted the next day. Cheers, Mark!

Isn't he Andrew Green who has Arcane Traditional Products?
He also has a Facebook group TART (Traditional and Retro Tackle) for classic coarse gear. I saw a YouTube of the day Chapmans was closing and equipment going to Andrew. Scores of culms, most of which he got from the late Andy Royer, the bamboo broker.
