Hi all,
I'm looking to have a reel made for my recently delivered Gary Marshall Trotter.
I've come across David G Brown on my Google searches for UK bench centrepin makers and I was very impressed, does anyone have a contact?
I pinged him on Messenger after looking at his Facebook Page, but no response yet.

Alternatively, are there any other makers that you would recommend?

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve, Chris Lythe also makes bench centrepins, highly regarded.

Thanks Steven
I've been looking at his site and they do look very nice.
He appears to be quite busy and may open up for more orders this autumn.
There's a bigger market for custom coarse tackle than I thought.
Cheers.

They do come up for sale occasionally Steve, a member on here had one for sale on eBay, as new but it’s sold now.
Id put a watch up on eBay or check out Thomas Turner tackle on here.

I have found a nice site called Antique Vintage Fishing Tackle which has a lot of very nice centrepins including the works of bench makers such as Chris Lythe, Paul Witcher, Dave Brown and Dave Plowman. Many are sold but it's nice to look at the pictures and specifications.
I hadn't realised there were so many willing to pay quite high sums for bench centrepins, even more so than bench fly reels!
