Hi,

Let me introduce myself, my name is Kevin Wilson and my 12 year old daughter Siobhan has organised a MacMillan Cancer Coffee Morning for the last 2 years after we lost a very close family friend to this horrible disease in 2015.

In the first year 2016 she managed to raise £575.00 between the coffee morning, a raffle and doing car washes on the day outside the house.

This year 2017 she managed to raise £960.00 as we had a much bigger raffle and managed to wash 15 cars.

Last week I attended a charity day event at Cloybank which is a fishery that I am a member of, I spoke with the owner of the fishery and asked if I could do something in 2018 to go with the other things that we are doing to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and he has agreed to give us use of the fishery for a charity day which we will do Sept / Oct 2018 and will be for between 15 / 20 people fly fishing.

The same day I met and spoke with Jimmy Feeney from Carron Valley Fishery and he has also agreed to host a charity day at Carron Valley, this will be for 50 people fly fishing and will take place on Sunday the 6th of May 2018 so I am now trying to get as many fantastic prizes as possible to use for the raffle on the day and to offer as prizes for the winner etc, the event that I attended had a rod, reel and fly line for the winner along with other fly rods, reels, lines, flies fishing tackle with various different fisheries offering day tickets etc which really helps with prizes and will give the companies supporting us advertising in news papers and fishing magazines leading up to the event as well as being mentioned on the day of the event.

If you require any further information please do not hesitate to get in contact

Thank You for your time.

Thanks for letting me know buddy ,I never ever used to know him to flyfish , just watch over the Snypes trout fishery if it was the SAME likeable natured soul that used to watch over the fishery& wee guy whom also died from cancer wee benny mcnaughton from Barrhead also used to watch over it & taught me how to FLYFISH as youngster I’m STILL fishing now being a Barrhead angling club member. It’d be nice to even know that something’s being done in his memory& a tribute to whomever deserves it. I goto the Benny mcnaughton memorial cup competition EVERY YEAR out of RESPECT for the bloke whom taught me how to CAST minus the hooks & stuck them on whilst I was confident enough casting. As my dad used to watch over the snypes with benny & Donald I think Donald snr used to come from Pollok or Barrhead or surrounding areas?

Dya know of any of them ?

Speak soon
