Anyone know if the Penrith AA waters are fishable at the moment or are they still too high? Thanks

Hi Donnieh, they were fishable yesterday as a few nice trout to 3lbs were caught, see my post on Appleby anglers.

You’ve got a lot to go at, I’m also a long standing member of PAA, but these days I tend to fish my club water at Appleby.
I prefer the upper Eden, it’s just a bit more intimate somehow.
Try the Eamont at Dalemain, and by the sewage works, that’s a popular stretch I believe, it’s never ticked my boxes to be honest.
Pokey Dub is a nice bit of water as well.
Good luck wherever you go Don.

Hi Donnieh,
You were lucky to get into PAA as they are full again this year. I am on the waiting list for 2020. I was a member a few years ago as it’s my local water but gave it up due to family commitments. I can’t recommend any particular water to catch fish but can assure you that despite the membership always being full I doubt you will meet any members when on the bank. I met one in five years.
Maybe bump into each other.

just to say lads Appleby anglers have vacancies, it’s cheaper than PAA and you can fish PAA waters on the swap tickets.
you can also fish the KSDAA waters WADAA Carlisle and Brampton waters all on one membership for £95.
if you need any help PM me.
Steven.
