Can perhaps someone advise what these rods that made up into a nymphing rod are like . I am totally fed up with carrying two rods down the river . As we move into the grayling season I will be doing more nymphing together with dry fly and spiders when conditions dictate. Is there any other options besides greys who have a shocking after sales service?

The greys streamflex and plus rods are great versatile rods, I've had mk 1's through to gr80's in mainly 10ft #3's, fantastic nymphing rod imo, I did briefly have the gr80 streamflex plus in (the rare to find) 9.5ft - 10.5ft
I now use guideline lps 9.5ft #2 which is a brilliant rod imo casts a fly line better, but the 10ft #3 gr80 was a tad better nymph rod, however this is on the small river I mainly fish.. great value rod
The guideline lpx tactical 9.9 ft #3 is the one I'd pick tho, especially if more usual size river, its all you need to take
I've always found Greys to be fantastic customer service , despite what some say, by the way

I'll second that the Guideline LPS 9'6" 2wt I bought recently is a fantastic rod that I find casts a 3wt line really well. I bought a wf2 Maxcatch gold line to try with it but find it better with the 3wt, in my hands anyway.

I have mk1 9ft 6 inch streamflex plus in 3 wt and 4 wt . Brilliant rods and to me better than all the newer models that I have tried . Tried a friends GR 80 , always found greys service to be good .

I'm delighted with my gr70 streamflex 11' 3wt I bought recently on eBay. I've used it twice and have been very impressed with how it casts a wf3 line. I originally was looking for a 9' 3wt for dry fly but starting using my 10' 3wt Vision Onki and enjoyed the extra clearance with bankside vegetation. I decided I needed an 11' nymph rod and bought this but I can't get my head around mono rigs so I've been using a wf3 line with a 9m amnesia leader so I can swap out to a tapered leader and pop on a dry or couple of spiders. I'm now loving the extra length and the amount of line I can hold off the water helping my flies drift.
