Yes, it was definitely an expensive way of taking photos... and still is at around £18 for an 8 exposure pack of SX-70 film. I still have quite a few photos from 1977 though, so it was probably worth it for the memories. I'm sure I have the original Polaroid 1000 camera somewhere rather than the later 'The Button' model in the photo (which I bought last year from a charity shop for less than the price of a pack of film!). I'll probably find it next time I move house!Yes, that's what I remember happening. I think we rapidly tired of remortgaging to buy a pack of 10 photos.
