I’ve just snapped the tip of my Hardy Jet 10’ #7 and can’t get a replacement top joint from Hardy. They have offered me a 50% discount on the equivalent Demon. Can anyone shed light on how the Demon compares to the Jet?

I think the Demon replaced the Jet,or was it the Shadow? Either way you won't go wrong with a Demon for half price.
If you don't like it you should be able to get most ,if not all, of your money back if you sell it on.

I broke the tip on my jet and was offered a demon for £49.99, same cost as a tip!

i much prefer the demon to the jet also.

The demon is a quality rod, I have cast both, but not side by side. Demon is more repsonsive IMHO.
The Demon is probably also the most under rated rod out there, you hear little about it when someone has 350-400 quid to spend etc
I have demons and Zephrus' in 4s and 5s, and the demon feels 95% Zephrus, with the difference being the special tip on the Zephrus.
