Paid a visit to Helwith Bridge Trout Fishery today and was quite impressed. First time I fished it, it was plagued with sprat size escaped trout. (From an otter chewing its way into one of the cages) This time was plagued with their much larger brothers and sisters. Stopped counting at twenty. Biggest about 5lb or so. Came away with an aching arm and totally tired. Best days sport for a long time. £21 for a full day and 2 fish (if you want). I wont say the usual "fully finned fish that give a real scrap" I will say there are some fish that have bits of tail missing and some that look ugly as sin, but they all fight like demons. This is an under used fishery, a bit off the beaten track, but well worth a visit or two. Probably more so now the rivers are so low.

Sounds good Dave, I might have a run over, the rivers are #+/*@£% useless at the moment.
