No joke, I was on a small lake about 10 acres, four of us in two boats, I only knew one of them, but I won’t say who it was.
It was very warm in fact I swam the length of the lake prior to fishing.
Most fish averaged the 2 lb mark all nice rainbows, the fella I knew gave me a big slice of cake he’d made, but I remember binning it in the bull rushes as I suspected he might have poisoned it, strange untrustworthy chap.

Then I found myself in the bathroom, it was 07.05 am and I’d just had a very realistic dream.
At least I’ve been fishing. :giggle::giggle:

A bit of salt on the wounds going by the title.... anyhow, here's a video.

More salt than you’ll ever know!
Was fishing there just two weeks ago! Seems like an age ago now. One minute you’re stalking torpedoes ( best description I have of NZ trout😳) without a care in the world and the next you’re stuck back in Blighty twiddling your thumbs and going literally up the wall.
Fly boxes are bursting, lines are clean, Fock all left in life bar endless You Tube vids of big NZ trout porn🤪.
Stay safe

Maybe 3 weeks back I was dreaming that me and my brother were fishing, he hooked a salmon and wouldn't let it run, at one point he lifted the fish clear of the water with the rod 😲 I'm shouting to him to let it run, let it run, i got the rod of him and let the fish run, when the fish slowed down and I lifted the rod the rod kept going back to the 2 o'clock position and the line peeled of the reel not applying any pressure to the fish because the drag was to slack???
The dream started with him hooking the fish at the river side and ended with the dodgy drag 😴

I wouldn't mind another only this time get a decent shot of a fish 😃

There are Minnows, Stickleback and a solo Timothy-Tench, in my pond what sort of fly should I use? :)

I gave the fishing a miss last night and instead had tea with Eric and Mrs Clapton. He played an electronic instrument a bit like a bar shaped Simple Simon, I didn’t like to say that he’s much better with a guitar. Mrs C lay on the sofa and waved graciously once or twice.
