I don't think there is anyone from Nairn or even close on the forum.

I occasionally fish there when we stay with a friend on the Black Isle.
Suggest you go to the fishing shop in Inverness, (Grahams) they will advise you on river fishing.

Stillwater you have Dunlichity (8 ? miles form Inverness) and Achagour (near Nairn) but both will need a car or get a taxi.
Dunlichity is small but quite challenging, Archagour has 3 small lakes.

Hope that helps.

I used to fish Lochindorb which is about 13 miles south of Nairn. It was free and good fishing for wild trout then, and I have read elsewhere that is still the case. Although it would be an easier ride home than getting there, it might be bikeable.

lochindorb has turned into a dumping ground from some of the visiting pike anglers who have camped overnight and left litter and line etc all over the place.Certainly not what it was 3 years ago where few visited and had good trout fishing. Its now pike daft there.Again its the few spoiling it for the majority. If you don't have a car it is a long way to walk to and the weather can come in very fast there.

Sorry to hear that. I had some good times there. Best not to look back I suppose.
