Was having a go at using mallard flank to get a lemon wood duck subs.

I took some mallard breast and dyed it in a mix of 80:20 EBEST fluo yellow:Jacquard 'Aztec Gold'.

This was the result...


Might be a bit too yellow. I did some more with a 60:40 mix, but if anything, it was more yellow! :unsure: I gave it an overdye in pure Aztec Gold and that only brought it up to same as the first attempt. That's the serendipity of these things!

Will have another go with an adjusted ratio, but I think the dye choice is on the right lines.
