For those of us who keep poultry that is,
just heads up that us poultry keepers need to keep our livestock locked in for a while as avian flu is about :(
more about it here
Avian influenza (bird flu): Latest situation - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

I was brought up on a poultry farm Paul back in the 50s, foul pest was our biggest worry then.
we had it several times and on one occasion they came and gassed 6000 hens on Christmas Eve, needless to say it wasn’t the best Christmas we ever had.
Good luck with the flu.

It was common back then Gary, we did receive government compensation but the sheer hassle of it all was awful.
After that we could vaccine day old chicks ourselves, bloody bugs.
