Our club had its annual Hospice Charity Pairs Competition on Corrib yesterday, out of Carrick, and the fishing was pretty good. 60 anglers boated 145 fish, all returned, as it was a catch and release competition.
There were a few mayfly coming off and some decent olive hatches in places
All fish were measured and verified by boat partners, before being returned. I had 2 fish myself at 44cm and 39 cm, both caught on a dabblers and I jagged another 3
A very enjoyable day and I'm looking forward to getting out for a few afternoons this week
