Well 4 of us ventured out on lough mask on friday and saturday. We were told on arrival that it was fishing out of its skin.I was a bit dubious as the water level must still be at least 4 feet up on the usual levels.Well how wrong can you be!
We boated 12 fish over the pound mark between us the largest just shy of 3lb,and lots of under size fish, all the fish returned to fight another day.Fly of the trip was hands down a size 12 bibio dabbler with a green and red rib to the body.We were also lucky to drift into a large olive hatch on saturday and we landed 3 fish on cdc olive klinks.Cant beat wild fish on the dry.We spoke to a few lads during the tea breaks on both days and all had caught fish.
All in all a cracking weekend.
Good to hear. Hopefully the decent fishing will stretch out for another couple of weeks. We usually get a run out earlier but hopefully there is still plenty of activity for a another few days. Thanks.
We had the best fishing in years on Mask yesterday. 2@3lb..firstname.lastname@example.org..email@example.com..and 1@2lb all on wet and dry, bobbing and weaving thru pinnacles of treacherous rock, first class fishing for wild fish in a most beautiful place.....a day on Mask certainly adds a day to your life if you can survive the north sea conditions at times....
