I fish further up the coast near Torrevieja. Main species are scad, bass, bluefish, palometta, gilthead bream and four or so species of mullet amongst many others. Bass come very close to shore just before dawn and will take a bushy black dry in the dark! Golden grey mullet are found practically every where. Walk the shore looking for activity in the breaking waves. Again, daybreak is best until the sun or bathers drive the fish away. Look for lagoons which empty as the tide falls, creating a food rich current which will attract a multitude of species. Estuaries are king however. Small clousers will work but small shrimp patterns such as Sectra shrimps or red-headed diawl bachs in size 12 will far out fish them. Good luck, Colin.
