He is the Game Angling Instructors Association (GAIA ) representative in Northern Ireland and as such runs and organises continued personal development days and assessments for current and prospective members. He is also a qualified mentor and assessor for prospective GAIA and APGAI instructors. He also advises various angling bodies, including Bann System Ltd., Causeway Coast and Glens Tourism, and The Department of Culture Arts and Leisure ( DCAL ), and runs and organises projects for them. This includes; a mini salmon hatchery in the classroom in over 50 primary schools over the last four years; Bann guides project where he recruited and trained angling guides to work on the Lower Bann; set up a Bann Start Fly Fishing School to introduce children to angling; and produced a quality angling guide for Causeway Coast and Glens Tourism. He also works at Angling Fairs and Game Fairs as a consultant and instructor in fly fishing as well as guiding visiting anglers. He specialises in fishing for wild brown trout in the Loughs and rivers of Ireland but also fly fishes for salmon, sea trout, pike, mullet and bass and can arrange guiding for all these species in Northern Ireland. Guided fishing can also be arranged further afield through WhereWiseMenFish - Why not treat yourself to the fishing holiday of a lifetime, just get in touch to find out the details of where you would like to go.
Mark also provides high quality fly fishing instruction in all single handed casting techniques. He caters for all anglers, from the absolute beginner to the competent caster who wants to brush up on his casting. Instruction can be on a one to one basis or as part of a small group and all necessary loop tackle will be provided. He is quite happy to provide instruction at a suitable venue close to you.

Mark is now show casing the new Loop Cross S1 rods. If any one would like to test these rods please contact Mark on 07771 892506. They are probably the best fly rods ever made.

Was out trying the Loop S1 rods with Mark yesterday.

Can highly recommend Mark and the new rod range.:thumbs:

The 12ft for a 7 S1 is a cracking rod for Grilse/Sea Trout, as is the 9ft for a 5.

Nice, progressive actions and good tip deflection. Load at close and long ranges and can take it when you work out a line for distance.

Sensitive enough for rolls and switch/spey casts too.

Nice matt finish and groovy reel seat as well.

...off to rob a bank...:whistle::whistle::D
