Greeting from Colorado. I have been a member of the U.S. version of the Fly Fishing Forum for a while. But this morning I was doing a search for specifically for "Euro Nymping Forums" and saw this site. I was searching for somewhere to share info and ask questions on euro fishing.

Thanks. Are your fishing competitions like the ones here in that the sometimes the US hosts international countries/competition and follow FIPS-Mouche rules?

I've been reading Devin Olsen's book Tactical Fly Fishing and from it have been I have toying with different nymphing leaders. His standard rig is as follows.

10-12 m 5.4kg Maxima Chameleon (Stiff Mono)
0.91m Amnesia (Limp mono)
0.45m BI-Color Cortland Indicator
Tippet ring

I'm very curious and interested on what you folks are using?

I've been trying Tronixpro Xenon tapered leaders 15 meters in 0.30-0.60 (12lb - 50lb) and 0.20-0.50 (7lb - 45lb) The 0.20 I attach Hanak bicolour mono 0.20, the 0.30 I use Cortland bicolour 0.30.
The Tronix leaders have 7 meters of level line, I just cut this down to suit to make 10 meter, 12.5 meter leaders or just leave at 15 meters.
I do like FishON French leaders, but hate all the knots.
