Had the pleasure of fishing with him a lot of times, got my double handed technique almost perfect in about 20 minutes!
He held records in almost every aspect of casting, including bait casting, a genuine casting legend.
He had a profound impact on my casting abilities

10 times spey casting world champion and one of, if not the first to analyse the cast in technical terms, his teaching of fulcrums and levers is the casting language we use today.
