New boards, new offer price ...

Due to over-expansion of my travel rod collection – you might not believe that’s possible, but it’s true – I’ve decided that the time has come to part with my 7-piece Redington Wayfarer WFR 906/7.

Some of you old-timers might remember that I bought it “as new” from another forumite about a year ago, intending to use it for chucking streamers and full-sinking lines.

Perhaps not surprisingly, it didn’t like that very much, but I’ve tried it once with a floating line too, which makes it a demon on stillwaters. Then again, I don’t fish those very much either. So that leaves one of you lucky people with the chance to give it a really good home.

As I’ve indicated in the title, this rod is:

… practically brand new: I’ve only fished it twice myself

… 9 feet long, for a 6 weight line, with an action that sits on the powerful end of progressive

… designed to break down into 7 pieces: it’s a work of art, and *very* packable indeed, with each piece just 17 inches long

…fitted with two lined stripping rings plus snakes, half wells handle, and a hardwood and smoked aluminium reel seat. Here’s what it looks like (complete with US prices if you scroll down):

… complete with compartmentalised rod sock, fitting into Redington’s classic scarlet-covered cordura tube that could probably shake off a nuclear strike

… £100 including Royal Mail Silver Service (or whatever they call it now) to all UK addresses.

Please PM me if you’re interested, or email me via my website in my signature below.
