NERAC a north east fishing club has opened its Tyne and South Tyne fishing for salmon fishers to help raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. This will be a fun couple of day’s with regular fishers and complete beginners most welcome. Club members will be there to guide visitors on the waters and help put them in front of a salmon! There are a number of excellent river stretches to fish with both fly and spinner. Late September is peak time for salmon fishing on the Tyne and the fishing in recent days has been quite superb. A day’s fishing is only £50 per day per person and 100% of the funds raised on the day will go to Prostate Cancer UK. The biggest fish landed over the two days will also win the lucky fisher a day’s fly fishing for carp at Larford Lakes near Stourport, Birmingham with caravan accommodation onsite kindly donated by Phil Briscoe of Maver UK. The winner will also receive a new trophy: THE NERAC PROSTATE CANCER CHARITY AWARD.

Members of NERAC have already raised over £4,000 this year for Prostrate Cancer UK so please do support this important worthy cause and catch your self a salmon or sea trout in the process!
