Hi, I want to buy Scierra srx v2 fly rod for sea trout fishing on coast. Could you help me to decide between 9ft6 #6 and 9ft6 #7, please? I would really appreciate any of your opinion and knowledge.

I have the 9ft 6in 6#wt which has plenty power but light and smooth, not very fast and poker like, but still soft through the tip when a fish is on. Worth your trying out. I have not tried any other.

Given that normally, coastal fishing will often involve casting through, across or into wind, then the #7 might be the better tool for the job.

They have an unusual all over matt silver grey finish including the rod ring wraps. Most "stealth" finish rods have a gloss wraps finish at the rings. I am finding that the 9ft 6inch 6wt is a good boat rod. Which is what I bought it for.
