I've seen sea-trout leaping in the Medway estuary, both at Rainham and at Upnor, whilst I've been targeting the mullet with bread, or lure-fishing for bass.

There's also a run of sea-trout up the Kentish Stour.

 

I fish down on the Medway occasionally for chub and pike. I have never caught a sea trout but the local angling clubs do pick up the odd trout or two.

They are either sea trout or fish washed down from the Teise where we stock trout.
