“The Goldenloch”

January-10-01-2021, Fishery Blog, Week 02.

Hard Frost these past few days and now I am worried about the swans as they have lost clear water to swim in, Mr Fox who has always been about, has got easy pickings, lets hope the swans have enough strength to fight them off, Some times in life its good to forgive or at least someone has to make the effort to mend old wounds, my brother died a few years back, him and I never really got on that well, but now I really wish that I had taken some time to try and speak with him, or at least talk about what the problems were, so what that got to do with a fishery blog, well I can assure you that owning / running a fishery is a great way to make enemies, so lately I have been trying to get in touch with old clients, most nearly all had medical reasons for stopping fishing, however some will come back once we have a vaccine, but one guy said that it was because I was allowing people to fish with bungs, something he felt was just a form of nearly bait fishing, I was saddened to here his reason but assured him that only a few used this method, that most fishing here were traditional anglers, today Monday 11 Jan. 21 I was well impressed to see that Sir Tom Farmer has donated £1.000.000 M to the evil and debilitating disease dementia, I have a best friend my age, that suffers badly with this, I would not wish anyone to get affected like he has, philanthropists like Tom Hunter are few and far, I applaud him and his wife for their charitable deeds.

Our remit has always been since 1986, is that fishing the “Goldenloch” is a day out, a day when a hobby becomes a pleasure, anglers are here to relax, enjoying the atmosphere, no interruptions, in safety with no unwanted background noise, tranquil surroundings, abundant genuine wildlife, Finest quality, hard fighting, guaranteed, boat or bank you decide.
