Hi,

Anyone own or used a Thomas and Thomas Lotic glass rod? What are your thoughts on the 3 or 4wt models for typical British small stream and freestone river dry fly trout fishing?

Also, how's the quality of finish of the rod compared to a custom job?

Thanks!

I handled one last year - pretty plain and expensive, you can get a much better custom build for less.
A few of mine.

Monty,

You will be better off if you buy a rod from Rawson custom rods, it will work out cheaper in the long run also they will turn out a better rod anyway.
Or if you want to spend T&T kind of money look at the American builders like Greywolf/ Livingstone/ McFarland/ Jude rods.
This year Sandy Nelson made a 7'9'' x 4pc 5line rod for me on a McFarland blank and it's great.
