Some while ago I purchased a brown coloured flyline from a member on the previous forum. It was a #6. Whilst I am happy to use this on my #5 rod for bugging etc. I would like a #5 if possible.

Does anyone know a good source?

I have the Partridge Dry & Delicate in a #4 which is a good dull olive colour, but I really dont want to have to fork out another £40.

- or does anyone have a decent 'little used' line that fits the bill and that they no longer need?

(how easy/successful is dying, I have a couple of white lines that I could 'convert)

Dying is a doddle. I dyed a white 333 olive (same colour as the partridge line) a few years ago using Dylon and it's still one of my best performing lines with no adverse affects at all. Took about 15mins using the hot water and salt dye rather than the cold water version. Cheap as chips too.

Cheers
