Glas, what exactly are you referring to and what has changed since Monday? Numerous clubs have reopened and the AT and WG confirmed that driving to fish 'local' to you is permitted. Local is not defined and left to reasonable interpretation.
I picked up the driving bit from this article. Scroll down about 2/3rds:

Not received any information from my club as of yet whether it is permissable to wet a line.
As far as I am aware it never really “closed” I have not had a chance to go out yet but maybe over this weekend I will pop out on the quieter little stream. I would say under current guidelines there is no issue with you fishing.

It is not yet permissible for English anglers to cross the border to fish.
A tad frustrating this. My local water, a trib of the Dee, is 11 minutes away but as I am an honourable citizen who respects directives I will be driving an hour across Cheshire for a fish tomorrow.
Had to explain to two families from N Wales yesterday that directives work both ways after they crossed the border to picnic around our village pond yesterday - not the first time this has happened over the last couple of weeks btw.
