Evening lads
Ged, the TV comes tomorrow between 10. 30am and 11.30am. I'm worried about loading Virgin and Netflix.
I went on an exercise walk this morning and just turning out of my road when a huge dog gave loud woof dashed across the road and jumped up at me. I should have been worried but I wasn't this huge dog belongs to my daughter Amanda and it had recognized me. It's a Labradoodle . I've tried to walk it and it's too strong for me it takes me for a walk.
It was strange out walking as there were only a few people about. Those I passed at a safe distance spoke to me which was most odd. I didn't know any of them are they developing "we're all in it together spirit?"
When I came home nine of the neighbours were outside sitting in road in the sun and talking away. They were all a reasonable distance apart in a circle. Apparently it is a routine thing they do illustrating we are a small community of friendly caring neighbours. I'm not sure Boris would approve.
Well I read Charlie has the virus but the dreadful Camila hasn't. They must keep their distance when at home.

Hi Alban.
Good luck with the TV, hopefully it will go without problems.
People do seem friendly in present crisis and giving distance. Let's hope it continues after it's all over. They're a friendly bunch over the boarder, I've chatted with many a stranger and there's non much stranger than me. :giggle:

Morning guys.
Another nice day , already cleaned the patio doors and kitchen window, second time this week. Why do wood pigeons like flying into them?
As you can see, internet is on. It wasn't first thing this morning and phone line all crackly again. Took an hour on the phone and mobile speaking to an operative in India. Got an engineer coming Monday morning, apparently there is an "outage" in the area. 10 minutes after the calls we are back online and phone line so far clear. Not going to cancel the engineer just yet, leaving it over the weekend until Sunday night. They are supposing to be texting and emailing updates on work.

My line has been crackly for months. Internet goes off nearly every day. Had it tested but of course no fault found. I can put up with it for now.
Dad started complaining just 3 days in about his careers not coming when he wants them. He is so ungrateful. He has not a clue what is going on and how much these people are doing for him. He has some meals being delivered today and age uk are going to do a shop for him.

The care package your dad has is certainly not working SteveN. Far too many falls.
Line still working fine. 🤞
Was having a pleasant relaxing read in the garden. Then a neighbour started messing with his racing car (grass track racer). Not only a very loud sputtering engine but fumes galore. 👃💨😷

Well the TV came as planned left on our path. I was amazed how light it was for a big television. Once put together it would not switch on with the remote. A phone call to our grandson Aaron revealed there is an on switch under the bottom frame. The next problem was the password. Vanita was doing the inputting and the password was being rejected. We eventually worked out she was putting everything in capitals. The remote was next not working. Vanita had put the batteries in the wrong way round. Once that was sorted the rest was easy peasy. The new TV is very nice and a much better picture. My Bose sound bar speaker does not work so we are working with the TV sound which is excellent quality. All the connections are in. Any IT specialist advice, on what could be wrong, would be welcome.

Phone line and internet still working. (y)
I'm surprised at how light new TVs are Alban, unlike my Sony Bravia. It's always worth reading the destructions first.
That reminds me, I need to sort the instructions to fit new parts to my mother's garage door.

No one came outside on our estate of 18 bungalows at 8pm to applaud the work of the NHS workers. It was a poor do.
The new television was a problem when switch on this morning. It claimed not to be linked and needing a password. The introduction of the password failed as well. Face time conversation with Alban junior sorted it on a temporary basis. The TV was apparently looking for an aerial connection. There is no aerial.
Vanita is at the GP's this morning for an essential monitoring blood test on her high calcium level in her blood. She is very worried about infection.

Afternoon guys.
Busy day getting nowhere! :( Weather nice but cooler than yesterday and bit more breezy.
Attempted to do my mother's garage door. Struggled like hell to remove old pins, struggled to put new cones on and struggled again to put in new pins. Then struggled do the tension spring, so much so that I've given up. Will try again another day.
Internet hit and miss and crackle on phone line though not as bad. We lose the internet when we get a phone call.
My daughter has a hospital appointment with consultant next month, she got a letter today saying it has now been changed to a phone consultation.
