In today’s terms a fine of £100 is less than a slap on the wrist. Any fine should be a minimum of at least £10000. However as my dad found out when he was a JP. Most people will not pay, so he had to send them to
prison. The clerk of the court told him the prisons are full, so don’t send them there, also don’t give them community service as they don’t turn up, so then they were fined, they didn’t pay so had to go to prison. When asked what he could do, my dad was told tell off, them with a verbal warning and a threat of community service if they don’t behave.

My dads response, he gave everyone the max possible sentence in prison, and if he’d had his way it would have been longer.

If you can’t behave in society you have no right to live in it.

I wish we had more JPs like your dad Earl it would make those wanting to re-offend think twice.
Elliot has had an interview with British Aerospace which went well. He has to do a practical test yet before he finds out if he has been successful in obtaining a job.
The weather here is sunny at the moment and we could be sitting out in the garden.
Vanita's cousin is down on holiday from Garbutt Vanita has told her not to visit.
Any salmon running in the Nith Earl? I have my bedroom walls covered with frames photos of our family visits to the Annan. I used to look forward to the Scottish fishing holidays, good sport, good food and plenty of booze. Maybe I will manage it again one more time ?

Since the estate made he SIL redundant I’ve not even bought a ticket for the river this year. Very few local anglers have. No one is now looking after the river and it’s in a very sorry state with no grass cutting or maintenance of the approach roads. I’ve heard even regular visiting anglers are no longer coming. I’ve heard that a few salmon have been caught on adjacent beats but numbers are well down. I have noticed that the local kids are poaching left right and centre without the SIL to chase them away.

Maybe about 20 mins drive from where we re staying) Anyway, here's my view for the next couple of days, hardship, eh? Look close for the castlereceived_1012384989204128.jpeg

Noel, out on a grand tour in the Moho. We are booked in at Bardon Mill on Sunday night til Wednesday night...so depending on the weather, Monday through to Wednesday are my options. Thinking of driving Moho there, then stopping for an hour lunch with missus Baz and walk the dogs then carry on a bit longer. Have you fished it before at all Noel?

Years ago we will be back at home when you are thinking of going they do hire out boats but you are just well off using some thigh waders . They do have a reasonable Fb page and Tony the owner is very helpful.

Evening lads
It's been a smashing day no rain and plenty of sunshine. We did get out in the garden and did a bit of tidying up.
I went for my first hair cut since February today. I had my temp taken, signed in, washed my hands donned a plastic gown and put on a mask. It all felt a bit weird. I'm much lighter both financially and less my silver tresses. It'll be a doddle to wash now.

Morning guys.
Wild out there.
Had a natter to my next door neighbour yesterday evening, he'd just bought a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2cc that's 17 years old (35,000 miles on clock and in very good nick) for his son who is learning to drive. He's down as a named driver, black box being fitted and 2 dash cams (front and rear) to get the insurance price down, still costing £3,500.

My wife's cousin is on holiday and went to visit Malham Tarn it was full of Asians celebrating their christmas. Animals were being slaughtered and hundreds of people were there. The police struggled to break up the party.
The same lady went to Bowness this week and it was so crowded she couldn't find a place to park. What the devil is going on? Our restrictions have been increased. No one in our house or gardens.

My area of Blackburn has had all restrictions lifted and back to the same as the majority of England. My father in law lives at the other side of town and he is the same as you Alban, no socialising with anyone.
