The day gets worse. I’ve just changed my electricity supplier from British Gas. Their app kept telling me I was in credit to approx £240, so I was looking forwards to the new rod(refund). On ringing up to find out where my refund has got too, I now find out I actually owe them money. Apparently their cockeyed billing system only actually charges me twice a year. The rest of the time my monthly payments just continue to build up until they decide to deduct a six monthly payment. Ripping hair out now! 🤬 🤬 🤬

On the good side the new provider is charging me £13 a month less!

They gave us money back as the previous supplier (Robin Hood) was charging us too much.

Mrs comes home tomorrow so no more fishing for a while, however the Macmillan nurse says they'll get someone to sit with her if I want some me time, people wanting to help is a new world to me, they're wonderful people but there must be more worthy people who want help.

Still feeling OK after the second jab. Arm aches a little and got a bit of a thick head but nothing that will stop me fishing :D. Mind you the weather will. 🌧️

Dad is now paying peanuts for his care package. He seems to be happier now the financial assessment has been completed.

Morecambe beat Tranmere 2-1 in the first leg of the play off for promotion. Second leg at home on Sunday. 🦐🦐

Just dropped Hazel off at the dentist she is having one filled on one side & another taken out on the other side. Waiting in the car, looks like I will be nurse maid for the day. She hates the dentist.

Another miserable day & cold.

Morning guys.
Yep, same here weather wise, wet and windy. 🌧️🌧️🌧️🌬️ No plans at all.
Well, do have some but means getting car out of the garage in order for me to sort out my tools. Have new storage system for them and some also want chucking.

Arrrgggh! Sue will not let me just replace the basin in the cloakroom. This morning I’ve been escorted around the local bathroom designers. Apparently we have to have a new vanity unit, sink and taps with matching new toilet. Also on the list is a new mirror splashback and flooring. And then of course redecorate the remainder of the room. Goodbye a few thousand!

Still waiting for an AliExpress parcel. It spent 4 weeks in Belgium and allegedly now in Germany.

There is a pod of Harbour Popoise in the river. Quite a few miles and past the weir. Looks like they are feeding too. Hope they do not get trapped as the river falls.

I had my Barium xray today and it revealed that my esophagus isn't working properly. The nerves making it respond to swallowed food have been affected by my Parkinsons desease. I'm not sure where I go from here but I will be on easy to swallow food for the rest of my life. So far this year I'm not having a good time.
Steve Ellison rang me today. The North West Nomads are operational again. Unfortunately I'm too ill to benefit. My son Ken hasn't seen me for eighteen months the wife and I visited him on Wednesday as he had just moved in a new house. He told my wife that I looked as if I'd just been dug up in the grave yard.

Well, when you're feeling up to it, how about you draw up a list of all your favourite, easy to swallow, foods that you can think of and munch your way through it?

Stuck for ideas? Well, subject to dietary requirements and any intolerances, this might include porridge or scrambled egg (with finely chopped smoked salmon if your feeling flush!) for breakfast, then lasagne, or shepherd's pie, or cottage pie, or haggis and mashed swede and potato, with perhaps salmon or trout mousse (using very carefully deboned fish) for starter, followed by Black Forest gateaux and cream (cut it up small), sherry trifle, ice cream, apple or rhubarb crumble and custard, chocolate mousse, etc?

So there you go, and remember, looks are often very deceiving, so up and at em, and prove the buggers wrong! (y) :)

Well dad lasted longer expected. Today he is being taken into hospital because he cannot move his elbow. We all told him to leave it a day and take some pain killers but he rang for an ambulance instead. Agggggggh. He will no doubt end up in care again.

Nicely seasoned minced steak? There's always a way if you put your mind to it. (y) A beef curry made from minced beef can be nice too, I use one of the Madras cooking sauces and add a few sultanas to it; first brown the mince in a frying pan, then put it in a lidded Pyrex casserole dish, stir in the sauce and a few sultanas (if you like them) then simmer it gently in the oven for about an hour or so, stirring half way through cooking. Lovely with some rice (or even mashed potato) on a cold day. I bet you're hungry now! ;)
