Not tried theirs Steve but someone said the Cheese & onion pies contained more potatoes than cheese, these from Bury are really nice, plenty of filling & really cheesy.

Rain stops play but does it. Got the craft knife out and a bit of sandpaper.

One for the Chub. 😃

Had to go and tie up the sunflowers, 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 these are 8ft tall so were getting a bit battered by the breeze. Seeing as the rain had stopped and things slowly drying, I did the front step, then washed the car as I had it out of the garage to get at my tools. 🪣🚙

I've got some very long sunflowers after all the wind and rain, I managed to stake most but ran out of stakes.
We've a new window being fitted today if the rain holds off, however theres a lot of dark clouds coming off the Pennines 🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️

Paul, all we've done is stake (9ft long canes) either side of the row of sunflowers (4 plants in total) then tied string from cane to cane across the front of the sunflowers. Didn't need anything along the back as they're infront of the garage wall. (y) They are also multi head plants.

Washing done. No rain so it has dried too. A couple of hours gardening done. Harvested the last of the raspberries. Old canes cut out and new canes tied in. Looks a lot tidier. Weeds and more weeds. Agggggh.

No rain so I've done the washing and cut the lawns, the window came and the glass, and my son in law to fit it, but it came minus the sill, so we sat in the garden with the intention of having some cans, he said that he may put in a holiday and fit it later in the week.

My daughter phoned to say she would come for a drink too, so I went to pick her up in a car park behind the doctors (before drinking) as its easier than driving up her street.
Man in high vis jacket stopped me to tell me where to park, oh no I said I'm only here to pick my daughter up, he said no problem, you can have the covid jab while you wait, I smiled and said I've already had two, he said, don't worry we have plenty 🤣 🤣

Only in Yorkshire 🤣

Evening all
I think I mentioned three mature trees are shedding their leaves in my garden. I spent a couple of hours raking up these leaves and storing them for shredding when dry.

After tea we went to look at my latest great grandson fathered by Elliott. The child is bound to be a good fisherman Elliott will see to that. I just hope I'm around to see him catch his first fish.

My brother visited my dad this morning. Dad had been sick. While my brother was there dad tried to get out of his riser chair and slipped off. Dad was then sick again and had to have a change of clothes. He just rang and has been sick again. He rang 111 who told him to call 999. He is now waiting for the ambulance.

Spent all morning at dads waiting for the boiler man. Dad still being sick so called 111. Eventually it was decided a doctors visited was required. He has now been taken to hospital. Apparently they did not investigate why he was being sick yesterday just checked his heart which is fine.

Evening guys.
Sunshine and cloud for most of today, brightened up later and gentle breeze.
SteveN, that's what I find so frustrating, they don't get to the crux of the matter, only treat the symptom not treat the cause. Similar to car mechanics and other trades.
I contacted 4 different boiler people, non got back to me, luckily my next door neighbour has a mate who did boilers and that's how I got mine done. (y)
Did Aldi shop this morning, couldn't get prunes and hand sanitizer for my mother, no washing up liquid and no Haribo Starmix. Just empty spaces on shelves. :(

Went to Waitrose this afternoon, very few potatos or soft drinks. I know the manager and he said it was a shortage of drivers both by growers and distribution depots.

We've been to the hospital so mrs can get a body scan, up at 6.30am to get ready, carers didn't come till late so we managed, nurse came and gave her a jab and took a pee sample.
Ambulance came very late but we managed to get to the hospital almost on time, had the scan and got back home at about 4 pm.

The doctor phoned at 5 to say we need antibiotics and they would be ready at the local chemist in 5 mins, I got there as they were making up the prescription, busy day.

Now to dig some tatties and sell them at the side of the road 🤣
