This thread like so many I have read on the forum appears to have gone down the plug hole and degenerated into yet another pointless inane bun fight. This will be my last post on this forum. Goodbye.

Sadly Xmas is not the time for goodwill and generosity to your fellow man but is a time of selfish commercialism. In keeping with the spirit of Xmas, I have bought a Sage 4550 CF and my wife has intercepted it to give back to me.

I'm an atheist and don't buy into the commercialism of, so called, religious holidays.
Probably have the fishery to myself for the whole day.
A new line is on the cards mind, my present to me.

It's not a religious holiday, it's a day of the year where you give thanks to your family and spend time with them. You don't need to be believer in a jealous evil dictator magic cloud wizard to show appreciation to family.

Dont mind a bit of commercialism! especially as it is usually the time of fishing sales!

Would love a guidline waistbag as i have no carry options for my gear! But would definitely not buy it full price.

Ive also been saving for a new camera setup for more fishing piccies!

I spend a lot of time with family anyway, we are very close and I can guarantee at least 2 phone calls a day, usually just as I'm about to go out the door to go fishing.

Jeezo, no wonder you can never get a decent argument on religion on here any more. This forum has become wall-to-wall heathens. What happened to Gander and Dartmoor Navigator? You could get a good argument with them.

Getting a phone call from my daughters on Christmas day. That is all I want. Though it would be even nicer if I were with them as they will be in Barbados

I made them a promise that if they studied hard and did well at school then they will be rewarded. My youngest (11) had a novel published and my eldest (13) despite shattering her leg and being out of action for months also achieved very highly and won a commendation from the school.

Me and my big mouth!!!
