Probably to late now, but the margins on the lower end of the middle lake can be VERY good with a small-ish dark brown beadhead with a fritz-type body & sunburst marabou tail + a dyed brown partridge hackle.

So I fished for 4 hours this morning, tried all manner of flies but had no success! Had a couple of nibbles but that was all. Few other guys there were catching so it must have been purely down to my fly choice and technique. Still, had a good time and was good cast practice so all was not lost!

Try it again when the air pressure isn't so low, dropping as fast as it did, is a big shock to fish
