Default Re: Lugg or Arrow Dryfly fishing

Its been a few years since i last fished the Lugg.
one day, fishing up a stretch of club water that i knew really well, i could not get a fish, grayling or Trout, i was at a loss why i couldn't catch.
Round the bend of the river came a flock of Goosanders, on seeing me they took off, flew upstream and probably started working the river again.
Sadly the river now has both Goosanders and Cormorants working it.
Its not just the fish they eat thats the problem, they unsettle the fish making them hide and become impossible to catch.
Its a shame as its a lovely river.

Just had a chat with a friend of my who fished the Arrow at Temple mill yesterday. He a good day with over a dozen fish all on a small parachute Adams. He missed plenty and said there was a lot of fish rising all day. He booked the beat through the WUF
