Default April - a frustrating month of fixating feeders

April brings the first of the better hatches - with fish starting to get fixated on one fly when in abundance. Here is a short memoir of a recent evening in such conditions:
April – a frustrating month of fixated feeders | The Fly Guy's Blog

Once again, all images quickly photgraphed on a phone. I will get some better images on a blog entry soon!

Thanks,

N

(title should read *fixated feeders* not fixating!!)

Must be another drawback of global warming.
Its not that long ago that this sort of trout behaviour didnt start until the beginning of summer !
The fact it was 23C here last week and guys were getting good catches on buzzers on my local water supports that too.
The seasons are all back to front.

Yes - a google search seems a likely match. I can't give which species I'm afraid, next time I'm there I'll photograph some.

Thanks,

N
