Sepo,

Thanks for that. Some fantastic fish too.

I'll check levels at lunchtime, but hopefully I can get on

Cheers, Nigel

Some good grayling also 👍🏻

Yeh mate A 3mm tungsten quil jig what I tie on the point and a 2mm grub on the point, the sea trout took the point I did have a 2.5mm on at first and still catching plenty of fish but thought I could get a few more so changed to the heavier fly and almost a grayling every cast then the sea trout took the point fly, i didn't expect it even after 10 muinets I thought it was a massive grayling until it jumped and I seen it.

Brilliant mate!

There's loads in the river now after how wet its been.

I've been a few times on a night for a few hrs but haven't touched anything so far.

I fished the croxdale stretch through the day right through about 10 days ago now and lost a nice sea trout it ran upstream & took me right into the backing then I managed to play it back downstream to me but then it went beserk & jumped all over the place & then line just went slack! Gutted.

Not bad night last night. Fished just upstream of Bishop A with a sz. 16 Balloon Caddis. Plenty of natural fly, but not a lot of fish moving, so rather than targeting risers like I would do normally I prospected through likely holding water and was rewarded with around 6-7 fish. The largest being around 10 oz. All BT, not a Grayling to be seen.

Nice way to spend an evening! River Ribble/Hodder next weekend

There were quite a few fish jumping and it seemed like the river was full of sea trout, it amazes me how strong wear fish are compared to the Swale the grayling seem like they are on steroids 💪🏻

It's packed mate! It's been so wet that the salmon & sea trout have travelled the river no problem this year.

True, they do fight so well. It's a lovely stretch of river.

Think I know where you caught that ST by the weeds in the pic

Will have to meet you out one day.

Yeh mate we will have to get out, the place where I got the sea trout is where all the bigger grayling are in the river, it's my favourite spot 👍🏻
