Try Barton Court on the Kennet between Kintbury and Hungerford

    http://www.riverkennet.co.uk/

also the Denford Fishery a little nearer to Hungerford where ACW holds his grayling and occasional trout days but its nowhere near as good as Barton Court.
“There is no more lovely country than Monmouthshire in early spring. Nowhere do the larks sing quite so passionately, as if somehow inspired by the Welsh themselves. There is a blackbird on every thorn and a cock chaffinch, a twink as they call him there, on every bush...... It moved me profoundly. I had been spared to see another spring, and I thank God for it.”

That would be the case for all river trout fishing - all finished everywhere until at least next March, in Berkshire more like April.

As far as I am aware it is river fishing only - it was actually featured on John Wilson's programme this morning on Sky 250 - he caught browns to over 4lb in the mayfly season.

you may want to look at grayling fishing. Give a tackle shop called the rod box in hampshire a call - they have beats on the test/itchen
