Default WTB. Hardy Liner Dryer

I'm after a Hardy Silk line dryer, the type with a wooden base. Yes I know there has been two or three on eBay for weeks, if not months. But the reason they have been offered for so long is the ridiculous prices they are asking. I will pay a fair price but certainly not 350. I had one which my ex refused to hand over and then her house burnt down. So there is no chance of ever getting it back.

Yes indeed, she accused me of bobby trapping the place since there were a series of minor explosions and the firefighters refused to enter the place I guess she forgot that several years ago she bought a bunch of M80 fireworks and kept them in the basement. EAch M80 is equivalent to a quarter stick of dynamite!! I had thousands of dollars of my stuff she was holding ransom so why would I touch it? Two of her dogs died in the fire, the cat f**ked off and my foul mouthed parrot also was roasted. I won't miss the parrot. But I miss all my personal mementos including details of my mums service during the war. She had a letter from Winston which was a commendation for bravery she got whilst serving as a WRAF during a air raid on Thorny Island.
Lots of my fishing and fly tying items where destroyed which I cannot afford to replace!

I have several of these Hardy line driers at Thomas Turner Fly Fishing Antiques but they are not on the site yet.

Can you send me a message via Antique and Vintage Fishing Tackle. Thomas Turner Fly Fishing Antiques and I can give you details.

Richard

Do you want one for practical purposes to dry your line, or is it a Hardy collection thing?

Some very nice items there Richard, I'm slowly reducing my collection of tackle, drop me a line if you're interested.
