Fished there 4 times as it is local to me but would not go there again or recommend it.
Quantity, quality and size of fish is poor in my opinion and Dragonfly, Graiglwyd and Wal Goch trout fisheries offer far better value for money all round

Does not seem to be stocked much and a serious weed problem in summer.

Also the several 'lakes' are very small.

Went to Tan-Y-Mynydd for a 20. 5 hour 2 take home fish Friday just gone 18/9/15.
First time we have visited and were greeted by Neil who runs the place with Martin.
The place has 5 ponds with varying sizes in a lovely setting. There is a small shop, toilet and the kettle is on all the time so cant complain about the service provided.
However there is a really really bad weed problem and I could not fish lower than one foot from the surface. There were a few patchy places where you could drop a double dropper in but as soon as you started pulling in, the hook just got caught up. It really does have a major problem which I explained to Neil. He confirmed this was an issue and was trying his best to get the weeds out. We did notice lots of the stuff had been dragged out but it needs a gang of 10 lads to get in and rip the weeds out to make any difference. As for fish, we caught two and there were plenty jumping and rising but the whole 5 hours were ruined by the weed. We will go back again but not this year and only when the weed is sorted which is a shame as it is a lovely place.
